-Ngorongoro Crater and Highlands
Described as "true Africa," Ngorongoro Crater is teeming with wildlife. This volcanic caldera, at 600 meters deep, is the largest continuous caldera in the world and one of the 8 wonders of the world. In this park you are almost guaranteed to see the Big 5: Elephant, Rhino, Lion, Buffalo and Leopard.
-Lake Manyara National Park
Mto wa Mbu is a small town that you reach before getting to the Manyara National Park. The Park is only 325km² small compared to the other Parks but acts as a gateway to the more famous areas of Ngorongoro Crater Conservation and Serengeti. Lake Manyara is full of Flamingos and Hippopotamus. In this Park the lion have a unique habit of climbing the trees.
-Tarangire National Park
About 120km South of Arusha on the Dodoma road is Tarangire National Park. At 2,600km² is the 6th largest Park in Tanzania. The Park offers unique vegetation and wild animals such as Buffalo, Elephants, Zebra, Impala and many more. From June until November is the best season to visit this park because many animals migrate to the only permanent water source - the River Tarangire
